Overview
The Director, BVNK-Mastercard Synergies Program Director will lead the execution, governance, and hands on PMO of strategic value creation initiatives resulting from Mastercard's acquisition of BVNK.
This role serves as the central program management lead responsible for coordinating, tracking, and accelerating delivery of revenue synergies, ensuring alignment across business units, product teams, sales organizations, technology, legal, compliance, finance, and operations.
The successful candidate will operate as a hands-on program leader, driving accountability, resolving execution barriers, managing executive governance, and ensuring synergy commitments translate into measurable business results.
The role requires exceptional program management capabilities, executive communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed, global organization.
Role Responsibilities
Program Leadership• Lead end-to-end governance of Mastercard-BVNK synergy initiatives.• Develop and maintain integrated program plans across all synergy workstreams.• Establish operating cadence, governance, reporting, and accountability frameworks.• Drive alignment among senior stakeholders across Mastercard and BVNK.
Synergy Delivery Management
Manage execution of priority and future synergy initiatives, including:• Mastercard Move• MTN / FI Payments• Card Settlement• Card Issuing• Global Bridge• SME Collections• Agentic Payments• Capital Markets opportunities
Governance & Reporting• Create executive reporting for Leadership.• Monitor plan execution, milestone achievement, and dependency management.• Maintain risk, issue, and decision logs.• Escalate execution obstacles and facilitate resolution.
Revenue Realization• Track synergy business cases and delivery against targets.• Partner with Finance to measure realized and forecasted value.• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.• Ensure strategic initiatives convert into measurable commercial outcomes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner across:• Product• Commercial• Technology• Treasury• Finance• Compliance• Risk• Legal• Operations• Regional organizations
to ensure coordinated execution and decision-making.
Process Excellence• Implement best practices in integration management and synergy realization.• Simplify governance structures where possible.• Build repeatable approaches for future growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required• Bachelor's degree required.• Experience in transformation, strategy, PMO, M&A integration, consulting, or enterprise program management.• Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.• Strong financial and business case management skills.• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.• Experience operating within highly matrixed organizations.
Preferred• Payments, fintech, financial services, or technology experience.• M&A integration and synergy realization experience.• Consulting background strongly preferred.
