Senior Technical Product Manager - qTest

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to drive key capabilities within our Test Management product line (with a focus on our product called qTest). In this role, you will bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution – translating business needs into clear work for engineering and ensuring high-quality, scalable outcomes.

This role is well-suited to someone comfortable bringing structure, clarity, and prioritization to a complex enterprise environment. You’ll partner closely with engineering managers, architects, and internal stakeholders to guide product direction and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Backlog Ownership: Manage, refine, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives, platform direction, and technical feasibility.

• Technical Specification & Story Writing: Translate high-level product requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.

• Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineering leads to shape solution designs, evaluate trade-offs, and drive implementation plans aligned to scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Data-Driven Decisions: Use product analytics, telemetry, and customer insights to inform prioritization and measure outcomes.

• Customer & Field Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of enterprise test management use cases and provide clarity in customer discussions when needed.

• Release Coordination: Partner with engineering to plan and coordinate releases, ensuring scope, quality, and readiness expectations are met.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in product management roles, ideally with enterprise SaaS or large-scale platform products.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development processes, high-level system architecture, and performance/scalability considerations.

• Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both engineering and business stakeholders.

• Ways of Working: Experience operating in Agile environments, with a track record of bringing structure to complex or ambiguous product spaces.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
