Position Overview
We are seeking a curious, data-driven, and strategic storyteller to join Autodesk data platform team. Autodesk design and make platform offerings are APIs, services, and an ecosystem marketplace that accelerates digital transformation and drives better results. As a Senior Technical Product Manager, for platform, you will be at the forefront to define and drive the next generation Knowledge & Information Retrieval Platform at Autodesk — powering AI-native, semantic, and agentic discovery experiences across Autodesk products and ecosystem.
These services are used by almost every Autodesk product enabling data discoverability experiences, next generation information retrieval paradigms, and agentic AI workflows across our platform ecosystem. In this role you’ll be leading and driving next gen AI enabled search experiences and underlying platform capabilities. You will build a roadmap which not only articulates technical investments but how it impacts business outcomes with a data-driven approach. You are an excellent communicator, story-teller, drives customer value through rapid prototyping and comfortable speaking with engineers as you are with senior executives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Define and execute on a multi-year strategy and roadmap for Autodesk’s Knowledge Retrieval Platform, improving discoverability, relevance, and AI-readiness of platform data across products
Agentic Enablement - Define retrieval interfaces and APIs optimized for AI agents and copilots (access methods, standards, API design and SLOs)
Own & Track Quality Metrics - Define and track relevance, precision/recall, latency, freshness, and AI grounding metrics
Drive roadmap for advance AI powered search across structured data, unstructured docs, CAD models, and 3D assets
Develop and manage relationships with architecture, engineering, and product teams to deliver customer outcomes
Identify market opportunities in search space and guide platform search vision and strategy
Experience with rapid prototyping to showcase customer value through experiences
Manage product lifecycle, including product roadmap, release planning, and positioning
Work directly with Autodesk product teams and 3rd party developer ecosystem to define, prioritize, and plan development of new features and capabilities
Articulate platform value to customers and internal stakeholders while differentiating platform from competitive offerings
Lead GTM plans and beta programs
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of product management experience in platform or infrastructure products, including 4+ years in search, information retrieval, and AI-powered discovery systems
Strong knowledge of basic search technology such as indexing, query patterns, ranking and relevance systems
Deep familiarity with modern information retrieval systems including semantic/vector search, multi-modal, knowledge graphs, hybrid ranking systems, contextual personalization, and LLM-grounded retrieval architectures (RAG, GraphRAG)
Ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts in simply understood terms
Experience creating clear technical product requirement documents(PRDs)
Strong prioritization, relationship building, and organization skills with exceptional storytelling
Leading and influencing cross-functional teams, stakeholders and junior team members
Comfortable managing risk, and ambiguity
Ability to effectively collaborate with a global team and travel for work on occasion
BS Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in tools, technologies, and best practices used in search technology, particularly using Open Search or Elastic
Experience launching AI-native retrieval systems for AI copilots and agents, at scale
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
Knowledge and familiarity with parametric BIM tools like Revit and managing large amounts of AEC and Manufacturing data
Experience applying industry standards (e.g., IFC, USD, 3DTiles, UK BIM standards etc.) to data would be a bonus
Familiarity with scrum/agile methodologies
