Position Overview
- Leading cross functional product development teams to deliver innovative products to our customers, while also acting as a player/coach.
- Architecting, building, testing, and deploying scalable, reusable, and maintainable applications that handle large amounts of data.
- Taking full ownership of your work, from development and testing to eventual deployment and support in production.
- Collaborating with other engineering teams, product owners, designers, and leadership.
- Launching and scaling technically complex and innovative products.
- Becoming a trusted team member in matters of technical architecture, design, and code.
- Advocating for evolution and improvement - both technical and non-technical - within our teams. Includes new tech, tools, and best practices.
- Gaining a deep understanding of the CoStar business.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college or university in computer science, or related fields required.
- Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams, with 10+ years in software development and 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Exceptional analytical and technical skills with strong understanding of design principles and methodologies.
- Deep understanding of system architecture, scalable design, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with modern, strongly typed programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++).
- Ability to align engineering initiatives with business goals and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Skilled in project and program management, including tracking deliverables, managing timelines, and ensuring quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to translate conceptual ideas into products.
- Experience partnering and collaborating across functional teams to reach goals.
- Track record of commitment to prior employers
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading products throughout the software development life cycle
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
Familiar with Marketing Eco-Systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot is a bonus.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Full stack development experience
- 3+ years of team leadership experience
- Experience using Typescript, Elastic, C#, SQL Server, and AWS technologies
- Proficiency in Continuous Delivery best practices
