The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Technical Lead to join our mobile engineering team. This role is ideal for a seasoned software engineer who remains deeply hands-on while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving the successful delivery of complex business-critical initiatives.
While Android experience is highly desirable, we are also open to exceptional Java and Full-Stack engineers with strong software engineering fundamentals who are passionate about transitioning into Android development.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Remain actively involved in hands-on development, contributing to critical features and technical solutions.
Drive technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
Own the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and hands-on guidance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across the software development lifecycle.
Champion engineering excellence through testing, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong track record of building and delivering production-grade applications.
Proven experience leading engineering teams or serving as a technical lead on complex projects.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Demonstrated ability to stay hands-on while leading teams and driving delivery.
Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Android development experience is preferred; however, strong Java or Full-Stack engineers with a passion for mobile development are encouraged to apply.
Experience designing and integrating APIs, working with asynchronous programming models, and building scalable software solutions.
Solid understanding of modern software architecture principles, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and code quality standards.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Experience with Android Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, and modern Android development practices.
Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, or distributed systems.
Experience building and scaling mobile applications used by large user bases.
