Senior Technical Lead - Identity Lifecycle Management

The Opportunity

​​The Senior Technical Lead - Identity Lifecycle Management will serve as a key technical contributor in the design, customization, and support of SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) hosted in AWS. This role focuses on building and enhancing identity lifecycle processes, developing custom integrations, and supporting complex IAM initiatives across platforms such as Workday, Azure Active Directory, and Salesforce. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who thrives in highly customized environments, is self-motivated, and has a strong sense of ownership to deliver solutions through to completion.​ This is an individual contributor role.​

​​This role leads a technical IAM development team while also contributing hands-on. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for production releases or critical issue resolution. This is a hybrid remote and office-based role in Sri Lanka, aligning with the local job requirement guidelines (Primary shift: [7:30 PM-3:30 AM SLST, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CDT] with flexibility). Most work is performed Monday through Friday virtually using collaboration tools and video conferencing. Our team has occasional on-call support.

Holiday Coverage: Candidates are required to work on Sri Lankan (LK) Public Holidays upon request, which will be fully applicable for lieu leave entitlement.

Responsibilities:

  • ​​SailPoint IIQ Customization & Development: Designing and implementing custom rules, workflows, policies, and connectors in SailPoint IIQ tailored to business needs
  • ​​Integration & API Development: Developing and maintaining integrations with enterprise applications and systems (Workday, Azure AD, Salesforce, etc.), leveraging APIs and custom connectors
  • ​​Solution Delivery & Issue Resolution: Owning assigned IAM development tasks, ensuring timely delivery and driving issues through to resolution with high quality
  • ​​Technology Advancement & Research: Staying updated with IAM industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices; recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency
  • ​​Compliance & Governance Support: Ensuring IAM solutions meet compliance standards (e.g., SOX) and providing support during audits or evidence requests
  • 50:50 balance between Support Engineering tasks and Software Development tasks.

Requirements:

  • ​​A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • ​​Advanced degree or IAM-related certifications is Preferred
  • Java Knowledge: Strong foundational programming skills in Core Java to work comfortably with the system codebase.
  • AWS Understanding: Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments, specifically utilizing AWS services (e.g., EC2 management, hosting architectures).
  • ​​8+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) development experience with a focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ is Preferred
  • ​Demonstrated experience with custom SailPoint IIQ implementations, workflows, and lifecycle management
  • ​Strong background in building and maintaining integrations using APIs
  • ​Experience in AWS-hosted environments is preferred
  • ​​SailPoint IdentityIQ certification is Preferred
  • ​Familiarity with additional IAM tools (Okta, Saviynt, CyberArk) is Preferred
  • ​Experience with Agile/DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • ​​Advanced knowledge of SailPoint IIQ (rules, workflows, certifications, connectors, policies)
  • ​Strong programming and scripting skills (Java, BeanShell, PowerShell, APIs)
  • ​Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive solutions to completion
  • Core Competency: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are a must.
  • Ability to collect system data, analyze process gaps, and implement effective solutions to remove technical blockers across multiple layers.
  • ​Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and business teams
