Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Technical Disaster Recovery (DR) Test & Assurance Lead to join our Global Technology team.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the organization's Disaster Recovery testing and assurance program while serving as the primary technical coordinator for establishing new Disaster Recovery environments across on-premise and cloud architectures. You will join a high-performing technical team dedicated to driving accountability across application, infrastructure, and business units to guarantee global system resiliency and audit readiness.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
Lead Disaster Recovery Environment Establishment: Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Application, Infrastructure, Database, and Identity and Access Management—to drive the end-to-end setup of new on-premise and cloud Disaster Recovery environments while validating technical designs for architectural integrity.
Manage Comprehensive Test Planning & Execution: Oversee all phases of Disaster Recovery testing, from tabletop exercises and failover drills to full-scale simulations, ensuring all plans are updated, aligned with industry best practices, and automated where possible.
Drive Technical Accountability & Compliance: Act as the primary technical lead to ensure infrastructure teams complete all planning and execution tasks, maintaining meticulous records and quality reviews to ensure all documentation is ready for annual external audits and client reviews.
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive Technical Experience: Proven expertise in managing Disaster Recovery testing programs and a hands-on understanding of IT infrastructure, including network, storage, compute, and failover mechanics for both on-premise and Cloud (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) environments.
Strategic Leadership & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to drive accountability within technical teams and manage multiple parallel projects using strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Strong Communication & Collaboration: Proven ability to liaise between Information Security, Project Teams, and Business Operations to ensure Disaster Recovery readiness and provide recovery strategy recommendations based on risk requirements.
Education & Professional Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field, supplemented by relevant certifications in Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity (such as Certified Business Continuity Professional).
