WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to join our Data and Communication Service Line. It enables SimCorp clients to manage their data portfolio end to end and integrate with all kinds of data sources and technologies to drive business operations.
The Data and Communication team is responsible for implementing the connectivity to internal and external data sources for and together with our clients. After the technical integration the data needs to follow a quality enhancement process using SimCorp Data Management modules like Security Master, Market Data or Corporate Actions. Once the data quality is verified it will be used to manage the complete spectrum of lifecycle events of financial instruments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Analyze back office and IT processes related to data management or fund accounting
- Implement and configure SimCorp software products for the client to establish the required data integration workflows
- Support clients throughout the project timeline
- Collect best practices learned from clients and document them properly
- Discuss technical and business requirements with clients and guide them to a proper technical solution
- Document the requirements including use cases for the development team
- Provide input to the product roadmap
- You will work remotely for clients most of the time, either from SimCorp’s office or from home. Onsite work for clients in Switzerland or Germany will be required to a limited extent (approx. 6 times a year for 3 days).
Most importantly, you can see yourself contributing and thriving in the position described above. How you gained the skills needed for doing that is less important. We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest.
- Technical background and experience with data integration
- Some experience with Oracle or a similar database environment, SQL, Microsoft .NET Framework and scripting
- Familiar with Agile (Scrum) requirements gathering, user stories, grooming, backlog
- Product knowledge of a data management tool would be a plus
- Some experience with market data vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, SIX etc. would be of advantage
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in multinational environments
- Fluency in English
- We expect you to come to our Vienna office at least 2 days a week.
