What You’ll Do

You will play a key role in improving production efficiency, optimizing game performance, and driving technical innovation across both the 2D and 3D content pipelines. This role requires a strong blend of artistic sensibilities, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to help push the visual quality and performance of WWE Champions across supported platforms.

  • Own and improve the end-to-end 2D and 3D art production pipeline, ensuring efficient content integration into the game engine
  • Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality VFX, shaders, and rendering solutions that align with the game’s artistic direction and technical constraints
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX, Art, and Engineering teams to implement and optimize user interface assets and visual systems
  • Profile, analyze, and optimize game performance, including memory usage, rendering performance, asset loading, and runtime efficiency across target devices
  • Build and maintain custom tools, automation scripts, and production workflows that improve artist productivity and reduce manual effort
  • Partner with artists and designers to identify pipeline bottlenecks and develop scalable technical solutions
  • Work extensively with Digital Content Creation (DCC) software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Suite, or equivalent tools to streamline asset creation and export workflows
  • Develop tools and automation using Python, C#, and other relevant scripting languages to support production pipelines
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate modern AI-powered content creation workflows and generative AI technologies to enhance production efficiency while maintaining quality standards
  • Establish and document technical art best practices, pipeline standards, and workflow documentation
  • Mentor junior Technical Artists and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to rendering, animation, shaders, asset integration, and performance

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game industry, with at least one shipped mobile or console title
  • Strong understanding of both 2D and 3D game development pipelines
  • Proven experience creating shaders, materials, and visual effects
  • Experience implementing and optimizing UI assets within game engines
  • Strong knowledge of performance profiling, memory optimization, and rendering optimization techniques
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DCC tools such as Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer, or similar software
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming using C# and Python
  • Experience building custom production tools, editor extensions, and automated workflows
  • Hands-on experience working with Jenkins for content integration and production pipelines
  • Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working with Unity and mobile game development
  • Experience supporting LiveOps pipelines and frequent content releases for live-service games
  • Familiarity with asset management, content packaging, and build processes
  • Experience leveraging AI models and generative AI tools to accelerate asset creation, content processing, and production workflows while maintaining quality standards
  • Experience mentoring Technical Artists and contributing to long-term pipeline strategy
