As a Senior Technology Business Management Analyst (aka Senior Business Intelligence Engineer), you will be essential in driving technology cost transparency and accountability within the organization.
Your primary responsibility will be to configure and maintain the Technology Business Management (TBM) cost and data model using Apptio. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather, and analyze financial and technology data, and ensure efficient data governance.
This role bridges the gap between technology and finance and will work with those business and technology stakeholders to promote a culture of cost accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and mature the TBM cost and data model in Apptio.

Configure, test, and document Apptio dashboards and reports to meet functional specifications.

Load, transform, and rationalize data from systems of record (e.g., General Ledger, Resource Management, Asset Manager, CMDB) into the Apptio interface.

Collaborate with IT Leadership, Finance, Engineering, and Portfolio Owners.

Enable data-driven decisions by providing insights into IT Total Cost of Ownership and financial metrics.

Identify business process improvement opportunities.

Propose solutions, engage stakeholders, and document customer requirements.

Drive best practices and governance related to Data Management, ITFM, TBM, TCO, and FinOps.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience

Must have experience in deploying and /or developing within the Apptio Solution

Practical experience with deploying TBM Framework within a large technology organization

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
-
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems

Experience with tools such as Power Bi, Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations

Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

Experience creating analytics solutions
Additional Information
Residing at a commutable distance to our offices in Fairfax, Va or Louisville, KY preferred. Remote work possible.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$89,000 - $121,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
