We are a remote-first company that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly contribute to the success of businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities
  1. Research indirect tax rules (e.g., taxability, registration thresholds, sourcing, exemptions) across jurisdictions and tax types (sales tax, VAT, GST, etc.).

  2. Translate legal and regulatory content into structured logic and well-documented specifications that can power automated features in our product.

  3. Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to bring research to life in live product features.

  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of tax logic, edge cases, and reasoning behind decisions.

  5. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to the product and internal knowledge base.

  6. Support internal teams—such as sales, customer success, marketing, or support—with tax-related questions and edge-case investigations.

  7. Contribute to tax roadmap planning by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and helping scope new features.

Requirements
  1. 2–8 years of experience in tax research, compliance, or tax product roles—ideally at a B2B SaaS company, tax automation platform, or a professional services firm

  2. Strong research skills with the ability to interpret legal language, navigate official publications, and extract information from government websites.

  3. Product-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex tax rules into logical, structured formats that can be implemented in software.

  4. Ability to write clear, structured, and unambiguous documentation that helps product and engineering teams implement and maintain tax logic effectively.

  5. Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and self-direction, working independently in a fast-paced, globally distributed team and proactively unblocking different teams.

Nice-to-haves
  1. Experience working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to bring tax research to life in customer-facing product features.

  2. Experience working in agile or iterative product environments, including comfort with tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion, or equivalent.

  3. Familiarity with indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., U.S., Canada, EU, India), particularly in areas like taxability, sourcing, nexus, registrations, and filings.

Why Join Us
  1. High-impact role at the intersection of tax, product, and AI.

  2. Build core logic that powers a platform used by modern businesses globally.

  3. Be part of a sharp and hungry team defining the future of tax automation.
