Over the past few years Acrisure has expanded both organically and through M&A. The tax department has now reached a point where a US Senior Tax Analyst is needed to support the growing business.
Job Description Summary
The Senior Tax Analyst will be involved with many aspects of the corporate tax department, primarily the reporting of the Company’s income tax compliance and tax reporting. You will also assist the US Tax Manager with domestic tax compliance, tax accounting, and executing process improvements. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence, be a team player, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

Compile the preparation/review of the quarterly tax provision, analysis of tax accounts, and reserves, including calculating book-to-tax adjustments and return-to-provision adjustments

Participate in the U.S. federal and state income tax return process with outside firm, including preparation of supporting tax calculations and gathering relevant data

Analyze and interpret changes to federal and state tax laws and its impact to the tax return and/or financial statements

Calculate the annual extension and quarterly estimated tax payment process

Resolve tax issues in responding to tax notices and inquiries from federal/state agencies

Proactively identify and implement process improvements that promote efficiency and accuracy

Maintain records and documentation to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

Participate in special projects as they arise, including merger and acquisition activity

Gathers and organizes the research and resolution of various federal and state income and non-income tax audits and notices

Be able to challenge the status quo and in building processes and implementing improvements

Qualifications

2+ years of tax compliance experience
-
BS/BA in accounting or finance
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-
Knowledge of OneSource Provision software or aptitude to be trained
-
Experience in tax technology automation utilizing tools such as Alteryx, RPA, or similar applications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
-
CPA or CPA eligible preferred
