Senior Indirect Tax Accountant

As Senior Indirect Tax Accountant within Sanofi Business Operations. This role requires excellent accounting knowledge and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.

• Prepare VAT returns, Intrastat and EC sales reports
• Reconcile tax accounts
• Participate in corporate income tax preparation
• Manage external relations
• Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner
• Deliver, monitor operational KPIs and comply with Sanofi policies and guidelines
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• Good and proven experience in GL/TAX accounting preferably in an international multicultural environment
• Hands on expertise in corporate tax accounting and activities
• Good business acumen
• Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles

Soft and technical skills

• Ability to interact with internal clients in a professional manner
• Self-motivated, well organized, hard-working, detail-minded, clear thinker, quick learner
• Well-inclined towards change and has the ability to work under pressure
• Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with front line teams with an end-to-end mindset
• Solid knowledge of SAP and Excel
• Hands-on experience of SAP Accounting Modules and other accounting related IT tools (e.g., Trintech Cadency, Blackline, etc.)
• Familiarity with IFRS

• Fluent in English and French language
