Position Summary:
Oversees the preparation of tax returns, related schedules and reports, and workpaper documentation.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Masters in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Level of accounting experience must be commensurate with tax experience required for the position.
- 1-3 years of progressively responsible professional level tax experience including multistate taxation.
- Proficient in corporate and multistate taxation, including the ability to review returns prepared by staff.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience working with tax laws, tax forms and processing, accounting principles, accounting software and databases.
- GAAP Experience a must.
Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Supervise preparation of recurring compliance and provision work, tax provision software, book/tax differences, account reconciliations, etc. in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Prepare state tax revenue apportionment schedules.
- Assist with audits and responding to notices and inquiries as needed.
- Assist with federal, state, and international special projects and provision calculations as needed.
- Train staff on tax workpaper preparation and documentation, department procedures and software applications.
- Assist in identifying and developing tax process improvements, drafting policies and procedures, and implementing those procedures.
- Ensure staff compliance with those policies and procedures.
- Responsible for complying with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.
- Responsible for complying with SOX controls as outlined in the corporate SOX compliance documentation.
- Compliance work includes but is not limited to: federal, state, and local income and franchise tax, quarterly estimated tax, property tax, sales/use tax, business licenses, gross receipts tax, and information returns.
Salary Range:
$70,000.00 - $106,000.00

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, specific working location and market position. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and PRA Group reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications and location of the selected candidate. In addition to base salary, PRA may offer additional benefits to include performance based bonus programs and/or equity programs depending on the position.
