Purpose  

The Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. Should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks, job boards and employee referrals.

Functions

  • Partner closely with business leaders, developing tailored sourcing strategies to deliver a diversely represented pipeline of active talent.

  • Influence and champion hiring best practices throughout candidate assessments while championing candidate experience.

  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing phone screenings.

  • Develop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.

  • Perform reference checks as needed.

  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiate employment terms.

  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.

  • Acts as a Mentor for other members of the recruiting team.

  • Achieves monthly hiring goals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field, plus five years’ experience as Recruiter required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

REQUIRED

  • 5-10 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.

  • Develop effective sourcing strategies for professional, technical, skilled trades, and leadership positions.

  • Strong knowledge utilizing job boards, social media, and college sites for recruitment

  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) & Pre-screening candidates

  • Coordinate interviews and conduct intake meetings with Hiring Managers to establish recruitment strategies and hiring timelines.

  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills

  • Extend employment offers and negotiate compensation within established guidelines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office                                 

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night

  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place

  • Work surface is stable (flat)
