Essential Functions:      

  • Performs full-life cycle recruiting for primarily professional and assigned officer-level positions at EMC and EMCNL.

  • Collaborates with people leaders to identify and clarify job specifications and develop recruiting strategies.

  • Works closely with team to solidify a diverse candidate pool. Reviews applications/resumes, pre-screens candidates, and refers qualified candidates to hiring manager.

  • Schedules and organizes applicant interviews to determine qualified candidates and suitability.

  • Communicates with people leaders to identify targeted qualified candidates, facilitate the offer and pre-employment background check verification process, as well as complete any additional reference checks.

  • Serves as back up for Talent Acquisition Manager in their absence to ensure a smooth recruiting process.

  • Establishes strong relationships across the business, providing strategic guidance and making recommendations to leaders to enhance the acquisition of talent through data driven insights and market research.

  • Leverages recruiting knowledge, emerging recruiting technologies, sourcing strategies, and competitive market intelligence to drive recruiting strategies, including hard to fill positions, and influence internal stakeholders on recruitment activities and programs in compliance with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and EEO goals.

  • Proactively monitors job market trends in all markets in which EMC recruits and seeks innovative solutions for attracting top talent.

  • Provides navigational support and hiring resources to hiring managers and other users related to applicant tracking system and talent acquisition processes and workflows.

  • Attends career fairs and establishes relationships with schools to market EMC as an employer of choice.

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition Manager and key stakeholders to pro-actively understand and support workforce planning and forecasting activities.

  • Works closely with people leaders and HRBPs to assess talent-staffing needs within respective business groups.

  • Leads the development of external metrics and recruitment vendor operations and evaluations.

  • Provides regular staffing reports to Manager, Talent Acquisition, and business partners on key recruiting metrics such as new hires, recruiting cycle time, cost per hire, time to fill, and time to hire, etc.

  • Designs recruiting processes on as as-needed basis (maximizing the benefit of utilizing job boards, networking sourcing, interviewing, referrals, etc.)

  • Serves as primary liaison for outreach efforts and program planning for EMC’s high school internship program (Explore EMC).

  • Supports the EMC Internship Program by assisting with the coordination of internship activities throughout the summer.

  • Conducts company-wide team member onboarding for EMC and EMCNL on a rotational basis. Ensures new team member onboarding follows EMC internal guidelines.

  • Consults with the legal department on team member immigration recruiting processes.

  • Proactively collaborates with people leader on various facets of the immigration process as it relates to recruiting.

  • Posts positions, monitors, and maintains the Workday applicant tracking system updated for recruiting and onboarding components, ensuring transactions are actively moving through the process.

Education & Experience:

The education and experience below are required for the job unless labelled as preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Five years of experience in talent acquisition or related experience

  • Experience with recruitment technology, including applicant tracking systems, assessment tools and sourcing tools (Workday preferred)

  • PHR or SHRM-CP designations preferred

  • Prior insurance recruitment experience preferred

  • Excellent knowledge of employment law, talent acquisition processes and behavioral interviewing techniques

  • Excellent ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent human relations skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite

  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

  • Excellent ability to drive the recruitment process by engaging with hiring managers

  • Occasional travel required; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving

Please note: The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within $77,013 - $106,126; or $84,912- $117,001 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range.  The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
