About the Role (your why)
As a Senior Systems Engineer in our Managed Services team, you will be part of a highly skilled group supporting enterprise customers across diverse industries. You’ll be the technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues; maintaining stability, driving improvements, and mentoring others in the team.
Our offices are based in Perth, and the team are on customer site 4 days a week. We like to bring people together in person when we can, and we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work-life balance.
What you’ll do
At the moment, as Senior Systems Engineer you will be focused on:
- Providing Level 3 technical support across servers, storage, networks, and Microsoft environments.
- Managing incidents, problems, and service requests; ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Performing system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Supporting project delivery and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
- Acting as an escalation point and mentor for junior engineers within the Managed Services team.
We are a pretty agile company and are keen to respond to customer, technology, and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements. This can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.
What you’ll bring
Required experience:
• Proven experience in Level 3 support or senior systems engineering within managed services or enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise across Windows Server, AD, Exchange, M365, VMware, and backup technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions under time pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging with customers and technical teams alike.
Nice to have:
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and automation tools (PowerShell, scripting).
• Certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, or ITIL.
• Experience working in ITIL-aligned environments.
• Familiarity with security and compliance processes.
