Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for execution of design/turbine operation changes to bend the curve to mitigate failure rates in warranty fleet and leverage where possible into core fleet
Utilize technologies like Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to reduce time to troubleshoot and replacement part cycle times to enhance the operational fleet
Identify and develop programs to drive down time to return units to service
Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current products, new products, and commercial deals to achieve business objectives
Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of Services costs
Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences
Lead major Services investments from pre-conceptual design work through design, validation, and launch prioritizing and managing risks on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Contribute to development of the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services, focused on improving operations through reliability and cost
Effectively manage program requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitiveness
Work with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements and standard work
Support and improve the availability and serviceability of existing wind turbine fleet
Contribute to new and existing design practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects
Desired Characteristics
• Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
• System or product-level mindset
• Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience
• Wind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance or repairs
• Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $185,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
