Senior Systems Engineer
Position Summary: Work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable systems.
Department: Engineering
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Direct interface with leadership, excellent customer support and professional courtesy.
- Collaboration across multiple disciplines to achieve critical project milestones.
- Process engineering and continuous improvement.
- Analysis of inter-dependencies of product deliveries and the associated risks, issues, and opportunities of their integration.
- Provide lifecycle systems engineering, including system design, test integration, and deployment.
- Participate in new development starting with requirements analysis and design.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR 5+ additional years relevant experience in lieu of education.
- Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.
- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
- Must enjoy learning and be self-motivated with the ability to switch contexts as the needs of the business evolve.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to understand others and clearly express thoughts.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with computer network defense and related cybersecurity practices.
- Experience designing interfaces.
- Knowledge of web-based tools such as SharePoint.
- Knowledge industry standards for operational certification
- Experience with VTCs.
