Due to the sensitive nature of the work, this position is expected to perform full-time onsite at the USCG facility.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
- Build and maintain system images for new server models procured as part of cutter recapitalization efforts
- Support hardware and software components of the Cutter Server Edge Computing Stack
- Engineer and support edge environments capable of hosting AI workloads, GPU acceleration, virtualization platforms, and container-based technologies
- Collaborate with system administrators, network teams, and stakeholders to ensure edge computing solutions meet operational and performance requirements
- Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of edge computing platforms in support of mission needs
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+, CND, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
- BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years’ experience performing systems engineering in an enterprise DoD environment
- Hands-on experience engineering and supporting virtualization platforms and containerized environments in a DoD or enterprise setting
- Experience supporting systems with GPU acceleration or high-performance computing workloads
- Experience integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mission systems in constrained or mission environments strongly preferred
