SUMMARY:

A technical hands-on Senior Systems Analyst, comes with the responsibility to plan, implement and promote data quality on a team who's primary work involves various data and analytics based efforts. These efforts are integrated over various systems and may include: free standing reporting systems, cloud based data, on GCP systems to include Enterprise Data Stores and Looker Studio Services.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical directions and mentor other System Analysts.
  • Use SQL queries and analyze FHIR data to test various ETL and data pipelines.
  • Perform data validity, accuracy and integrity, test across different components of the Data Platform.
  • Build automated test framework and tools to automate the Data Platform services and applications.
  • Automate regression, test and perform functional, integration and load testing.
  • Experience with HL7 and FHIR standards .
  • Articulate issues to developers. Triage production level issues by analyzing the production logs and work with the development team until the issues are resolved.
  • Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements.
  • Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate data integrity.
  • Work with the product managers and the team leads to understand the requirements and come up with the relevant test cases and execute them.

QULIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming languages preferred, including SQL, Java and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design preferred.
  • Experience with big data tools preferred, Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL DBs preferred, including Postgres and Cassandra.
  • Experience with Google Big Query cloud services preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages preferred, such as Python, Java.

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years of Python or Java development experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience (GCP experience is a plus) preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with HL7 messaging on Mirth or Rhapsody is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and experience working across business units to extract maximum benefit from the potential value in enterprise data.
  • Ability in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, such as GCP, Azure, Databricks, etc. preferred.
