Leidos is seeking a System Administrator for a technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Attribute Services within the IDAM/ICAM space.As a System Administrator on this program, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain a Cloud-Native Service architecture that software development teams can leverage to use cloud capabilities. This role works directly with implementation teams to provide technical guidance and implementation priorities related to cloud implementation. This role requires supporting an on-call rotation to ensure mission critical services remain operational 24/7/365. Rotation is typically to be on-call 1 full calendar week every 2 months.
Primary Responsibilities
- This role provides technical leadership and delivers an innovative product, service, or a combination of products and services that address a customer's specific requirements.
- Support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS.
- Duties include developing innovative approaches and solutions, using non-quantitative tools and guidelines from past experience.
- Security Patching
- Support of Servers in an AWS environment
- Provides execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams
- Ensures the mission critical application remains operational 24/7
- Supports a COTS service that provides attribute data via an LDAP interface to hundreds of various Sponsor systems
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree
- Must be an expert in using Linux-based operating systems
- Must have strong Bash skills
- Must have experience with security accreditation process
- Must have experience with the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
- Must be able to support System Administration/Privileged Access duties including an on-call rotation for a week approximately every two months
- Experience with Elastic tools (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats)
- Experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure -as-code concepts
- Understanding of aspects of architect and design enterprise cloud solutions and AWS
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Experience interacting with cross functional project teams including Software Development, System Engineering/ Verification and Validation, Security, Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience working with DevOps CI/CD related technologies (Github, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Rundeck, etc.)
- Experience with AWS Console, CLI, and manage services utilizing cloud services to build infrastructure as a code in an automated fashion
- Ability to read and perform complex software and infrastructure deployment instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Container-related certification
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification, demonstrating expertise in designing, building and running applications on Kubernetes
- Experience working with / handling Highly Sensitive Data
- Experience with LDAP technologies
- Minimum of one AWS Certification from the AWS Associate level (AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate)
- 3+ years of C2S experience
- Cloud formation
- Managing complex Sponsor relationships and requirements gathering
- Experience with IAM / IdAM / ICAM delivery systems, Authentication, Authorization, and/or Attributes
- Experience with Tomcat
