Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our DCIT (Data Center Information Technology) Team. As a System Admin, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our servers, storage and virtualization infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and maintain virtualization environments using Proxmox.
- Deploy, configure, and monitor storage solutions with Dell, Seagate and Synology.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions with Zabbix to ensure system health and performance.
- Ensure endpoint security and protection using CrowdStrike.
- Centralize and manage logs with Centralized Logging Tools for effective system auditing and troubleshooting.
- Support and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and optimized.
- Perform routine system audits, backups, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement best practices for system administration.
- Respond to system outages and provide timely support to resolve issues.
- Manage Backup and Restore Activities with Veeam or similar.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in system administration or a related role.
- Competence in managing centralized log systems like Graylog, SumoLogic, etc…
- Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge enterprise storage solutions.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
- Familiarity with security solutions like CrowdStrike.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, etc…) are a plus.
- Familiarity in managing Proxmox, VMware ESX, and OnApp virtualization platforms.
