Holtara is part of Apex Group and is the leading worldwide consultancy firm specializing in ESG advisory services and software solutions. We help our clients navigate the complexities of carbon & climate impacts, comply with relevant regulation, and achieve their sustainability goals.

Our team is based in Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Valencia, New York, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and ever expanding. We have embarked on an exciting journey of growth: entering new geographies, developing new products, and expanding our team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to join our dynamic team and form part of our growing Americas practice. 

As Senior Sustainability Advisor you will leverage deep sustainability and finance expertise to lead high-stakes client engagements, help shape our product and service offering and produce thought leadership. 

The list below sketches what success looks like for each focus area and how much of your time might be allocated to them: 

  • Client delivery (40%): support and lead client engagements covering a wide range of potential project types, including carbon and climate, regulation, and sustainability strategy and reporting
  • Client acquisition & relationship building (25 %): Help build a robust pipeline of new prospects, draft proposals and RFP responses, and become a go-to SME for our sales team
  • Product & methodology development (25 %): Help and lead the development of our products and services offerings, supporting both our advisory and platform teams 
  • Thought leadership & training (10 %): Produce white papers, webinars and workshops to raise Holtara’s profile and educate both clients, prospects, and colleagues 

Responsibilities 

  • Stay current on evolving rules and best practices; maintain Holtara's knowledge base and collaborate with our product team to drive Holtara.io innovation 
  • Craft compelling deliverables—decks, reports, dashboards and training materials that simplify complex sustainability strategies
  • Lead and deliver high-impact client engagements across carbon, climate, regulatory, and sustainability strategy projects
  • Drive product and methodology innovation in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence

Skills Required

  • An entrepreneurial mindset who gets energized by getting things done
  • Strong report writing and verbal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Excellent project management and client relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comfort driving business development with current and new clients
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills; Power BI a plus
  • 6+ years of professional experience, preferably at least 3 years in sustainability and at least 3 years in financial services 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sustainability, Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Environmental Science, Engineering or other relevant fields
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Salary ranges from USD $100,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
