About you and this role

Dow is offering an interesting job opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist. In this dynamic role, you will be key in coordinating the supply of feedstocks to the Böhlen Cracker. This position can be based in various locations, including Böhlen, Leuna, Schkopau / Germany or even Terneuzen / The Netherlands.

Working closely with the local production team, various suppliers, and the commercial hub in Horgen, Switzerland, you'll leverage your technical expertise, established practices, and personal judgment to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance will be crucial in ensuring feedstock supply reliability and cost efficiency, adhering to established guidelines and policies.

Ensuring the reliable supply of feedstocks to the Cracker includes managing the handling of Naphtha and LPG from various sources, which demands high attention to detail and effective interaction management. You will work to minimize the risk of high demurrage costs for Naphtha supply via vessels at the Marine Terminal and rail cars directly at the Böhlen site. Additionally, you will coordinate with the second Naphtha source via pipeline, troubleshooting uncertainties to ensure feedstock supply reliability.

  • Monitoring and optimizing inventories using data from SAP.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical competence in computer applications, including SAP.

Your Skills

  • Interpersonal effectiveness and understanding of customer needs.

  • Problem-solving skills and value creation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adjust quickly.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
