About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Site Operations Manager to lead country-level supply chain and site operations. The role will have responsibility across supply chain execution, inventory and planning, warehousing and distribution, site operations, quality, regulatory compliance, CAPEX, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will lead and develop cross-functional teams while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Quality, EHS, Regulatory Affairs, and Regional Supply Chain teams to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, or site operations.

  • Proven people-management and team leadership experience, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP is an advantage.

  • Experience in chemical distribution, industrial logistics, manufacturing, or other regulated environments is preferred.

  • Strong operational mindset with demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement capabilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, compliance, and operational standards relevant to supply chain and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Lead country-level supply chain activities covering purchasing coordination, inventory management, planning, warehousing, and distribution.

  • Ensure effective inbound and outbound logistics to meet customer delivery requirements.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while balancing customer service, product availability, and working capital objectives.

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Service to support demand planning and supply requirements.

  • Coordinate replenishment and supplier activities to minimize shortages and excess inventory.

  • Monitor supply chain KPIs and proactively resolve operational issues.

2. Warehousing & Distribution

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including storage, picking, dispatch, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance.

  • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers where applicable and ensure agreed service levels are achieved.

  • Drive improvements in warehouse productivity, logistics efficiency, cost, and delivery performance.

  • Ensure transportation and distribution activities meet quality, cost, safety, and customer service expectations.

3. Site Operations

  • Oversee daily site operations including production/blending, bulk handling, repacking, storage, and facility maintenance, where applicable.

  • Ensure the site remains operationally efficient, audit-ready, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Establish and maintain effective SOPs, operational KPIs, and performance management practices.

  • Oversee site infrastructure, utilities, waste management, emergency preparedness, and facility-related activities.

  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.

4. Customer Service & Delivery Performance

  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve supply and delivery issues.

  • Manage escalations related to supply disruptions, urgent customer requirements, and service issues.

  • Ensure supply chain execution consistently supports a strong customer experience.

5. Quality & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure products handled at the site meet Brenntag quality standards and customer requirements.

  • Oversee quality processes including product release, sampling, documentation, Certificates of Analysis/Quality, and laboratory testing where applicable.

  • Lead investigations into quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable chemical regulations, product registrations, licenses, permits, transportation requirements, and hazardous substance controls.

  • Maintain regulatory documentation including SDS, product labels, declarations, and relevant submissions.

  • Support internal, external, corporate, ISO, and customer audits.

  • Partner with Regional Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams on compliance requirements and regulatory updates.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the local supply chain and site operations team, including warehouse/logistics, planning, procurement, customer service, Quality, EHS, and Regulatory Affairs, as applicable.

  • Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and build team capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and safety.

7. Continuous Improvement & Cost Management

  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, and customer service.

  • Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for sustainable cost savings.

  • Lead or support country-level supply chain and operational improvement projects.

  • Use operational KPIs and data to identify performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.

8. CAPEX & Project Management

  • Develop, propose, and manage CAPEX plans for site operations, warehousing infrastructure, equipment upgrades, and safety improvements.

  • Lead approved CAPEX projects from scope definition and vendor evaluation through budgeting, implementation, and commissioning.

  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, quality, and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with Finance and Regional teams to monitor project progress, risks, and business benefits.

9. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure supply chain and site activities comply with Brenntag QSHE standards and applicable local regulations.

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across warehousing, transportation, and site operations.

  • Ensure appropriate chemical handling, storage, transportation, and environmental practices.

  • Maintain accurate operational, quality, safety, and regulatory documentation.
