Position Summary
We have an opportunity for a Senior Supervisor, Operations to join our team. This role oversees the manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of commercial products, as well as scale-up and large-scale clinical trial material. You will plan and supervise activities related to the production and packaging of pharmaceutical products in a cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance with cGMP and DEA requirements. This is a key position for maintaining quality and efficiency in our operations.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm
Location: Morrisville, NC
100% Onsite
The Role
- Oversee commercial manufacturing and packaging projects
- Supervise and assist in the successful manufacturing of commercial and large-scale clinical batches
- Ensure manufacturing and packaging areas and equipment are maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, including preventative maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain production schedules and timelines
- Supervise team in the set-up and change-over of processing equipment
- Identify and resolve process and equipment failures; Initiate appropriate action to prevent reoccurrence
- Responsible for cGMP compliance in all aspects of equipment calibration, packaging process, and batch records
- All other duties as assigned
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience OR Associate’s Degree and 7 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Steel toe or composite shoes are required to be worn on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Must have 20/20 vision (with correction); specific vision requirements include inspecting product for defects, reading written documents, visual troubleshooting of equipment, and frequent use of a computer monitor
- On an average 8-hour day, ability to walk, sit, stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell, and lift up to 50 pounds
