Position Overview

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Technology Sourcing is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for providing deep category expertise, consultative leadership, and strategic sourcing execution across Autodesk’s global Technology portfolio, with primary focus areas of Software, Infrastructure and Technology Professional Services.

Reporting to the Director, Technology Sourcing, this role operates as a senior category owner, accountable for strategy development, sourcing execution, and supplier governance across multiple services domains.

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager serves as a trusted advisor to senior business, Finance, and Legal leaders, translating functional strategies into scalable, commercially sound sourcing solutions that balance speed, flexibility, service quality, and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior Procurement subject matter expert across Technology Sourcing, including Software, Infrastructure and Technology Professional Services

  • Own category strategy development across their assigned category

  • Develop multi-year category strategies aligned to business objectives, functional roadmaps, and enterprise financial goals

  • Maintain strong understanding of service delivery models, supplier operating structures, and commercial benchmarks

  • Monitor external market trends across the technology category to inform sourcing strategy

  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations across Technology suppliers

  • Design and implement innovative commercial models, including: Commit to consume SaaS models, Retainer and managed service structures, Rate cards and blended pricing, Performance- or outcome-based pricing models, Demand aggregation and volume-leverage strategies

  • Execute global RFPs and supplier evaluations focused on total value, risk, and scalability

  • Drive supplier consolidation and preferred supplier frameworks

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to structure master agreements and statements of work

  • Act as a trusted sourcing advisor to senior leaders across both product and technology divisions, and other corporate functions

  • Support proactive engagement and early demand visibility across initiatives and programs

  • Translate functional strategies into sourcing priorities and execution roadmaps

  • Influence stakeholders to adopt recommended sourcing approaches and governance standards

  • Balance functional flexibility with financial discipline and enterprise controls

  • Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Legal, ESG, and Procurement Operations

  • Support enterprise cost optimization and spend management initiatives across the technology categories

  • Align sourcing activity to quarterly and annual planning cycles

  • Lead resolution of complex sourcing challenges requiring cross-functional coordination

  • Manage strategic relationships with key technology suppliers

  • In collaboration with Technology Vendor Management, establish and track performance metrics focused on cost efficiency, service quality, and value delivery

  • Support supplier governance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support responsible sourcing, ESG, and sustainability expectations across the supplier ecosystem

  • Contribute to development of Technology sourcing playbooks, standards, and best practices

  • Support adoption of intake, sourcing, and contract enablement tools

  • Drive increased spend under active management across Technology categories

  • Share market intelligence and best practices across the Procurement organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commercial leadership

  • Demonstrated expertise sourcing complex services categories within a Procurement organization

  • Proven experience leading global sourcing initiatives and high-value negotiations

  • Strong financial acumen and commercial structuring capability

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Le responsable senior de l’approvisionnement stratégique joue le rôle de conseiller de confiance auprès des dirigeants des divisions commerciales, financières et juridiques, en traduisant les stratégies fonctionnelles en solutions d’approvisionnement évolutives et commercialement viables qui concilient rapidité, flexibilité, qualité de service et rentabilité.

Responsabilités

  • Agir en tant qu'expert senior en achats dans le domaine de l'approvisionnement technologique, notamment pour les logiciels, l'infrastructure et les services professionnels technologiques

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $89,000 and $159,720. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
