Position Summary

The Senior Manager (IC) – Finance Transformation plays a key role in driving transformation initiatives within the Finance and Accounting organization. This position combines strong subject matter expertise in finance and accounting with the ability to lead and execute transformation programs that improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.

The role partners closely with Finance leadership, Accounting, IT, and operational teams to implement process improvements, enable automation, and support the modernization of finance operations. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of core finance processes and a strong track record of delivering finance transformation initiatives.

Finance Transformation Initiatives

  • Lead and support finance transformation initiatives focused on improving efficiency, scalability, and standardization across finance operations.
  • Execute transformation projects aligned with the organization’s finance strategy and operational priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate manual work, and improve data quality.

Finance & Accounting Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in finance and accounting processes, including Finance Planning and Analysis, Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
  • Partner with accounting teams to enhance financial close, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure that process improvements maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.

Process Improvement & Technology Enablement

  • Drive initiatives to improve finance processes through automation, standardization, and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and system owners on ERP enhancements and finance technology implementations.
  • Support the adoption of digital finance tools and analytics capabilities.

Program Execution & Change Management

  • Manage multiple transformation workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement new processes and tools.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption across finance teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with finance leaders, accounting teams, IT, and business stakeholders to define and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes of transformation initiatives to leadership.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve finance operations and reporting capabilities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to track transformation outcomes and operational improvements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the finance organization.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in finance transformation.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management or relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in finance and accounting.

  • Experience with process redesign and operational improvement.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple projects

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Experience working with finance systems, automation tools, or reporting platforms

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change within an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with finance technology implementations or automation initiatives

  • Background in process scaling to Center of Expertise

  • Exposure to ERP transformations or financial close optimization

  • Experience implementing AI Automation

  • CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent years of experience is required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
