Team:
Customer and Industry Workflows (CIWF) Engineering Team in ServiceNow is responsible for developing Sales & Order Management (SOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Field Service Management (FSM) and Industry Vertical Products (Financial services, Healthcare, Telco etc.) using ServiceNow platform and cutting-edge technologies like Machine Learning, Agent Intelligence, chatbot, service catalog, workflow, real-time tracking of services.

Role:
We are seeking an exceptional, passionate, and self-driven senior software architect in the rapidly growing Customer Service Management Engineering team to build highly innovative products.
If you have a strong passion for programming, design, architecture, writing algorithms, interest in technology trends, trying out new technology and, if you are a self-starter, go-getter, if you love to develop products with patentable ideas and have a DNA of being hands-on, technical research-oriented developer, then you are looking at the right opportunity.
This role will be responsible for the design and architecture of the foundational Sales & Order Management (SOM) capabilities. You'll be responsible for building SOM data model, reusable and composable building blocks of customer lifecycle and lead to cash workflows. You will work closely with platform and application engineering architects to drive the reference architectures.

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be an individual contributor in the ServiceNow Customer and Industry Workflows (CIWF) engineering team, and you will be
- Working closely with Engineering Managers and other Architects in the team to develop best in class technical designs in building enterprise grade software.
- Designing and developing high quality applications leveraging the industry leading ServiceNow platform
- Lead the technical design and architecture of the SOM products, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Working in a Scrum-based Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on coding.
- Design and implement software that is simple, intuitive and easy to use that will allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific business needs
- Play a key role in the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
- Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with business and product owners, and creative designers
- Collaborate with product managers and user experience designers to deliver delightful experiences
- Responsible for mentoring and grooming lead engineers to be the next line of architects.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Over 15+ years of experience designing and building scalable reusable products/components
- Passion for software development, debugging and problem-solving. We are seeking for senior architects and technical leaders who can influence and impact the product vision and roadmap with a strong conviction to build great products.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies
- Ability to create high performance, scalable systems
- Solid understanding of data modeling and databases
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively
- Lead and mentor less experienced engineers
It would be even better if you have:
- Proven experience as an enterprise software architect creating CRM products, implementation, customization, and integrations.
- Strong knowledge of relational data modeling, enterprise software applications design and development.
- Strong knowledge of core CRM modules like CPQ, Lead Management, Order management.
