Location: Tokyo, Japan
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ERP SCM Consultant with hands-on expertise in Rootstock ERP to support our growing client base in Japan. The role focuses on delivering robust Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions using Rootstock's cloud-native ERP platform, built on Salesforce. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge in SCM and prior experience in implementing or supporting ERP systems, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Analysis:
- Collaborate with Japanese enterprise clients to gather, analyze, and document supply chain requirements.
- Assess existing business processes and perform fit-gap analysis with Rootstock SCM functionalities.
Rootstock ERP Implementation & Support:
- Configure Rootstock ERP modules, focusing on:
- Inventory Management
- Procurement
- Order Management
- Production Planning
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Support end-to-end implementation, including design, configuration, testing, UAT, training, and go-live.
- Integrate Rootstock ERP with Salesforce modules and third-party systems as required.
Client Communication & Documentation:
- Act as the primary SCM functional expert during implementation projects.
- Develop detailed solution documentation, functional specifications, and training guides (in Japanese where required).
- Conduct client workshops and user training sessions.
Post-Go-Live Support:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Rootstock SCM modules.
- Collaborate with developers, Salesforce consultants, and business stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of ERP SCM consulting experience, including 1+ years on Rootstock ERP or similar cloud-based ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain business processes in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial verticals.
- Hands-on configuration and support experience in at least two SCM functions (Procurement, Inventory, Sales Orders, Production, Planning).
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform concepts and ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in Japanese (native or N2 equivalent) and English (business level).
- Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct implementation experience with Rootstock ERP in Japan or the APAC region.
- Salesforce Administrator or Rootstock certifications.
- Experience with local Japan requirements (compliance, localization, taxation).
- Knowledge of Agile or hybrid implementation methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
