As a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a highly influential technical leader responsible for advancing complex product development, shaping electrical system architecture, and driving technical excellence across the organization.
You will contribute to complex product development across the design, development, verification, and launch process while serving as a technical expert in electrical engineering. This role combines strong technical expertise with systems thinking, problem solving, design execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will lead a defined technical area of expertise while contributing to broader product and platform strategy. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, navigate complex and ambiguous technical challenges, and influence decisions across R&D and the broader organization.

What You Will Do
Lead complex electrical design and development through design, verification, and launch.
Define and influence electrical system architecture for complex electromechanical medical devices.
Provide technical leadership in PCBA, motor control, power, sensing, and system integration.
Lead complex root-cause investigations, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decisions.
Apply advanced circuit design, electrical testing, statistical methods, stackups, and system analysis to solve complex problems.
Lead a defined technical area of expertise, establishing best practices and advancing engineering capabilities.
Collaborate across R&D, Systems, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Clinical teams to deliver high-quality products.
Mentor, develop, and inspire engineers while building future technical leaders.
Hold self and others accountable for high-quality results, technical rigor, and business priorities.
Identify and apply new technologies to improve product performance, reliability, cost, and customer experience.
What You Need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
6+ years of progressive engineering experience with increasing technical responsibility.
Strong experience in electrical system and PCBA design.
Advanced understanding of complex electrical components, circuits, and subsystems.
Experience leading electrical design, testing, and technical problem solving.
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams.
Strong root-cause investigation and systems-level problem-solving skills.
Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience.
Knowledge of IEC 60601, ISO 14971, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience with motor control, power electronics, sensing, vacuum systems, and embedded hardware.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing, production testing, and design-for-manufacturability.
Experience with electrical stackups, statistical methods, and system/environmental interactions.
Experience taking products from concept through commercialization.
Demonstrated innovation through patents, new technologies, or significant product contributions.
