Senior/Staff Chemical Systems Engineer

The US Construction Engineering team designs and builds some of Micron's most advanced manufacturing facilities in the country. We support large-scale, high-tech projects that directly enable Micron's future, including new high-volume fabs in Boise, Idaho and Clay, New York. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, compliant, and reliable chemical systems for semiconductor manufacturing. As a Chemical Systems Engineer, you'll guide third-party design partners, collaborate across fields, and ensure sophisticated chemical delivery systems are delivered to the highest standards. Responsibilities:

• Manage third-party design firms developing chemical delivery, storage, and waste management systems
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align designs with facility needs and schedules
• Ensure chemical systems align with codes, industry standards, and Micron safety requirements
• Review and approve engineering work including P&IDs, specifications, calculations, and 3D models
• Support commissioning, testing, and vendor engagement to validate system performance

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical systems engineering
• Experience reviewing engineering designs and technical work
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Navisworks
• Familiarity with construction management tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Procore

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or high-purity, high-hazard facilities
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills
• Experience coordinating with external design firms and equipment vendors
• EIT or PE certification
