Job DescriptionRenesas is seeking a Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of complex Power Management ICs (PMICs).
In this role, you will lead major analog design activities, own complex technical challenges and guide critical designs from concept through production. You will work across engineering disciplines, support other analog designers' development, and contribute to improvements in design techniques and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for complex analog and power-management circuit design.
- Translate product requirements into system- and circuit-level design strategies.
- Lead the design, simulation, verification, and layout supervision of complex CMOS power-management circuits.
- Own complex circuit blocks and significant technical issues from feasibility through production.
- Lead design reviews, laboratory evaluation, silicon characterization, and technical problem-solving.
- Drive improvements in analog-design methodologies and power-management capabilities.
- Support DFT strategy, top-level verification, test development, and production ramp.
- Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to other engineers.
- Collaborate across Applications, Layout, Test, Product Engineering, and other technical teams.
- Represent the engineering team in customer-facing technical discussions and support RFQ activities as needed.
- Minimum of 12 years of related analog or mixed-signal IC design experience.
- Extensive experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design, preferably including power-management products.
- Strong technical expertise in CMOS analog circuit design, simulation, verification, and layout.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex designs or major technical activities.
- Strong ability to solve complex technical problems and make sound design decisions.
- Experience providing technical leadership, design review, and mentorship to other engineers.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree or PhD in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
