The primary focus of the Senior Staff Accountant is to support and carry out assigned responsibilities within the Accounting area, including special projects.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

[The following reflects duties for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time for business reasons.]

  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Lease accounting
  • Other various reconciliation/analysis under the direction of the Controller
  • Assist with tax reporting and audit documentation
  • Ad-Hoc Special projects

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of experience (including general ledger accounting)
  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong technology skills to include Excel (pivot table experience a must)
  • Possess understanding of fixed assets and depreciation, prepaid expenses and leases
  • Possess strong communication and analytical skills

  • Must be organized and detail orientated
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects
  • Works well with other employees and internal clients
