About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Technology team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will engineer self-service, reliable systems to support high-velocity development within our digital banking ecosystem. You will play a critical role in stabilizing and sustaining the RHB Digital Channel Platform (DCP) for growth by bridging the gap between development (Build) and IT operations (Run). Your focus will be to enhance software delivery lifecycle efficiency, enable rapid and high-quality releases, and minimize production issues through automation, predictability, and empowerment of teams.
What you will be doing
Engineer and maintain highly reliable systems that support continuous delivery and high-frequency releases for RHB Digital Channel Platform (DCP)
Identify and remove delivery and operational bottlenecks between development and operations teams to improve efficiency and quality
Develop and scale “shift-left” capabilities to empower developers and IT operations to self-serve and reduce dependency on Level 3 interventions
Drive automation and tooling improvements to strengthen end-to-end system and service reliability
Act as the Level 3 Technical Subject Matter Expert for Group Digital Transformation applications, resolving complex issues escalated beyond Level 2 support
Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
Champion best practices in site reliability engineering to foster a culture of reliability, resilience, and proactive problem-solving
Support the ongoing digital transformation journey by enabling scalable, efficient, and reliable platform operations
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, or similar role in a digital or banking environment
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution at Level 3 support
Expertise in monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tuning of distributed systems
Passionate about building self-service capabilities and empowering teams to reduce toil and manual interventions
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across development and operations teams
Familiarity with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code preferred
