Job Description
Supporting Indirect tax and Direct tax related activities for all entities within EMEA, you will be part of a Prague based team at one of their global tax centres.Core ResponsibilitiesCoordination of EMEA VAT compliance and VAT accounting process including initiation of continuous improvements.
Preparation and Review of EMEA VAT returns, EU sales Listing and Intrastat returns.
Indirect taxes reconciliation review or preparation, guidance and support.
Coordinate EMEA VAT compliance issues/questions (internal and external).
Coordinate exception report process.
Close collaboration with business processes in indirect taxes controls implementation.
Participate in and support indirect tax audits.
Active participation in a number of projects.
LEGO Group has established for its various functions including the finance and tax functions the Business Services Organisation – BSO, with the key three global centres, one of them being in Prague. Within the finance function, the Tax Ops. The organisation has been formed as a separate organisation to serve the tax area with the Global Strategic Tax department. The EMEA region covers more than 30 company codes and more then 30 tax registrations in various countries within EMEA region.
Do you have what it takes?Professional certification in accounting with specialisation in indirect tax/VAT.
3-5 years of experience in the finance and tax area.
Indirect tax experience in particular.
SAP experience.
Fluent English.
4 or more years of VAT experience gained within an international environment.
VAT compliance background including preparation and review of returns.
Sound knowledge of EU indirect tax laws and regulations.
Skilled in the use of SAP.
Advanced knowledge of Indirect Tax accounting and financial reporting processes.
Understanding of internal indirect tax controls.
Strong business acumen & analytical skills with attention to detail.
