Job Summary

Are you a strategic, client-centric marketer who knows how to turn insight into meaningful engagement, measurable growth, and exceptional client experiences? We are looking for a Senior Specialist: Lifecycle Marketing to design and deliver integrated lifecycle programmes that strengthen relationships with institutional and corporate clients, deepen advocacy, and unlock commercial value across the full client journey.
In this high-impact role, you will be accountable for shaping and executing lifecycle marketing strategies that create seamless, personalised and insight-led client experiences across all marketing touchpoints. Acting as a strategic bridge between marketing strategy, digital engagement and customer experience, you will help ensure that every interaction reinforces the organisation’s value proposition, strengthens brand positioning and contributes to measurable business outcomes.
You will work closely with Product, Coverage, Brand, Demand, MCA and GMCA teams to deliver data-driven lifecycle initiatives that support onboarding, engagement, retention, expansion, cross-sell, referrals and client advocacy. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive marketer who thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, digital performance and client experience.

Job Description

Your key accountabilities will include the following;

Lifecycle Strategy and Execution
  • Develop and implement a holistic client lifecycle marketing strategy that drives engagement from onboarding through to retention, advocacy and growth.
  • Continuously refine lifecycle programmes using client insights, feedback loops, performance data and market intelligence.
  • Align cross-functional teams around shared lifecycle goals to deliver consistent, relevant and high-value client experiences.
Client Experience and Advocacy
  • Map client journeys to identify critical engagement moments that deepen relationships and strengthen loyalty.
  • Embed the voice of the client into each lifecycle stage to ensure marketing initiatives remain relevant, personalised and responsive to evolving needs.
  • Drive client advocacy through recognition programmes, co-created content and referral initiatives that celebrate client success.
Commercial Growth and Performance
  • Use lifecycle marketing to enhance client retention, increase share of wallet and support cross-sell opportunities.
  • Define, track and communicate the ROI of engagement programmes through commercial, client and brand impact metrics.
  • Translate performance insights into practical recommendations that improve campaign effectiveness and business value.
Innovation, Data and Digital Enablement
  • Integrate AI, automation and analytics to anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, personalised engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging client expectations to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across lifecycle marketing initiatives.

  • A Bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7 in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or a related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification, MBA or Marketing Leadership qualification would be advantageous.
  • Certification in digital marketing, account-based marketing, performance analytics or related disciplines would be beneficial.
  • Strong B2B marketing experience, ideally within financial services, fintech or another high-value enterprise environment.
  • Proven expertise in lifecycle marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, integrated campaign strategy, ABM or performance marketing.
  • Experience using data, digital tools, automation and analytics to improve client engagement and marketing performance.
  • Exposure to process optimisation, customer-centric design, quality management and technology-enabled decision-making.
  • A track record of working across multiple stakeholders and influencing teams in a pan-African, regional or global context.

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Marketing (Required)

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related field
