Job Description
The Customer Project Specialist leads all aspects of the implementation of large new wins projects across Europe, coordination of activities with customers, suppliers, shippers, engineers, sub-contractors, and internal functions remotely and on customer site.
Contract duration : 1 year contract
Location: remote Europe
Help the sales team with process execution and customer status monitoring as per project plan to enhance Customer Experience, drive revenue growth, and improve cash collection.
The Specialist leverages process metrics to report on the evolution of the implementation with our primarily pharmaceutical, biotech, and Industrial customers.
The Specialist will offer expertise on more customer projects, working with our sales team on tasks like contract conversion and inventory services.
Your responsibilities :
- Project Management Expertise: Provide project management expertise and serve as the focal point for the sales team, customers, and internal functional areas throughout the duration of projects!
- Progress Tracking: Ensure tracking of project progress using the Project Plan and other relevant tools.
- Partnership: Develop and maintain tight-knit collaboration with internal and external partners, including Sales, Technical Team, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Product Management, Marketing, E-business, Pricing, and Finance. This includes developing and implementing rollout and launch plans.
- Communication: Maintain open communication between all team members through conference calls, meetings, and project debriefings.
- RFP and Bid Defense: Participate in RFP responses and bid defense meetings to improve award wins.
- Order Preparation: Coordinate the order preparation process, including customer requirements, URS approvals, item creation, account creation, and pricing approval.
- Customer Service Support: Support Customer Service in order registration according to customer requirements and quotations.
- Pricing Implementation: Coordinate the implementation of pricing structures with Pricing Operations in Finance.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work with the Supply Chain team to confirm orders with suppliers and ensure supplier readiness.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Transportation teams to ensure timely delivery of products to the site.
- On-Site Coordination: Oversee on-site activities, including commissioning, installations, training, and other relevant activities related to equipment projects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety rules are in place before engineers are on site, including the site induction process.
- Alignment and Updates: Ensure continued alignment among contributors with the overall implementation strategy and expectations, and present regular status and plan updates to customers and internal partners.
- Process Improvement: Develop and improve project tools by incorporating feedback from external and internal customers throughout the project cycle.
- Training: Train the sales team and internal customers as needed.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Project management experience involving multiple functions (equipment).
- Strong indirect management capabilities, especially in a matrix environment.
- Proven ability to independently take initiatives and drive execution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to apply in communications with business partners, the field, and corporate personnel.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project is a must.
- Proficient in English.
- Travel – around 0-25%.
