The Role:
Entegris is seeking a dedicated, experienced and self-driven Senior, Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer. The Sr. CI Engineer will report to KSP-N site director and will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement effort (e.g. yield, scrap, rework, labor utilization and throughput) across 2 sites (KSP-North and eventually KSP-South) producing Pads, Slurries, deposition materials, liquid filters and drum along with associated supply chain. Leveraging deep expertise in process mapping, Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, operations management routines and high-impact transformations, this individual will ensure that through structured problem solving, solutions are developed, tested, implemented and sustained, while keeping customer expectations at the center. As a key contributor to the Continuous Improvement team, this Engineer will help assess processes and KPI’s across the sites and ensure CI strategy/road maps are defined, executed, sustained and continuously updated with pipelines of CI projects for 3+years. In the beginning this role will lead CI efforts in both KSP-N and KSP-S and in ~2027, will potentially own KSP-N primarily and manage KSP-S through a dedicated KSP-S CI engineer. This role will also coordinate with the larger CI community to share best practices and learnings to drive the Entegris Way mindset.
In this role you will:
Own productivity portfolio: Ideate, Brainstorm, Validate, Consolidate, facilitate, develop and update the productivity pipeline of CI projects for the sites (KSP-N & KSP S) 3+years to deliver 120% of productivity targets assigned by MS division.
Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement CI strategies to streamline processes and eliminate waste to drive Yield and process optimizations. Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive process improvements.
Assess and Optimize Processes: Conduct thorough assessments of current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement Lean principles to optimize these processes prior to digital transformation.
Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure that Lean improvements are integrated seamlessly with digital technologies.
Drive Cultural Change: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Provide training and support to employees to adopt Lean methodologies and new digital tools and processes.
Monitor and Measure Impact: Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of Lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for further enhancement.
Facilitate Workshops and Training: Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate employees on Lean methodologies and digital tools.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Programs: Participate in and/or lead programs around Skill gap resolution, Production Elements, Productivity AOP, 5S, Operations management routines (i.e. Tiered Daily Management (TDM)) etc.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment driving Lean and Six Sigma programs across a large-scale and diverse manufacturing footprint
3+ years of people management experience in multi-unit environments
Experience in driving a “lean before digitize” mindset across the supply chain with a global team
Formal Six Sigma training and associated Lean, Blackbelt and SPC credentials
Willing to travel but less than 10%
Undergraduate degree in applicable field, engineering, computer science, business - information technology
