Role Summary

As a Senior Sourcing Recruiter, you’ll own talent discovery and pipeline development for hard-to-fill technical, go-to-market, and business roles. This is a senior, strategic sourcing position where your ability to identify and engage passive candidates will drive the success of our hiring engine. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring stakeholders to deliver high-quality pipelines that scale with our business growth. Note: This Job needs to reside in Las Vegas

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Building

  • Lead proactive sourcing strategies across multiple roles including engineering, product, sales, and technical enablement.

  • Build deep talent pipelines of passive candidates using advanced Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, niche forums, communities, and alternative outreach channels.

  • Leverage creative sourcing tools and platforms (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow, specialty groups) to find hard-to-reach talent.

Networking & Candidate Engagement

  • Execute personalized, compelling outreach that captures interest and converts passive talent into engaged candidates.

  • Cultivate and expand networks by maintaining relationships with prospects over time.

  • Attend or represent Kong in virtual and in-person industry events and technical communities where top talent congregates.

Collaboration & Process Excellence

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role nuances and ideal candidate profiles.

  • Influence hiring strategy through market insights, competitor landscape data, and candidate feedback.

  • Track, analyze, and report on sourcing metrics that measure pipeline health, engagement success, and overall impact.

Thought Leadership

  • Advocate and educate the broader recruiting team on best sourcing practices, tools, and trends.

  • Mentor junior sourcers as needed.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of dedicated sourcing experience in a high-growth or technical environment.

  • Expert-level proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced Boolean techniques.

  • Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates in competitive talent markets.

  • Excellent communicator with strong outreach and networking capabilities.

  • Comfortable managing multiple search priorities with a bias for results.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience sourcing for enterprise sales SaaS/API, cloud, or AI-related roles.

  • Familiar with ATS (e.g., Ashby, Workday etc.) and CRM tools with strong data hygiene practices.

  • Familiar with diversity and inclusion sourcing strategies.
