Your Opportunity as the Senior Sourcing Manager, Indirects - Commercial
The Senior Manager will lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across the Commercial organization, including Marketing, Sales, RGM, Customer Logistics, R&D, Marketing Data, Retail Sales Data, and Company Fleet. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies aligned with enterprise goals.
Location Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
Role focus: Sets category strategies for complex, high-volume, high-risk categories, governs the commercial approach, and leads complex, enterprise-impact sourcing decisions across Commercial indirect spend. Provides direction and coaching to manager.
Own the procurement strategy and category roadmap for all Commercial-related indirect spend, aligning priorities to business objectives.
Sponsor and steer strategic sourcing initiatives for the highest-impact categories, ensuring rigorous business cases and stakeholder alignment.
Approve negotiation and contracting approaches for complex/high-risk agreements; ensure contracts align with policy, governance, and strategic objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping decisions, resolving escalations, and balancing competing priorities.
Lead cross-functional operating rhythms with suppliers, stakeholders, agencies, brokers, and operational leaders to ensure end-to-end procurement alignment.
Oversee multiple concurrent, enterprise-impact sourcing events (RFPs), supplier evaluations, negotiations, and compliance reviews; remove roadblocks and ensure quality outcomes.
Coach, mentor, and develop procurement manager and emerging talent; build capability through standards, feedback, and succession planning.
Drive continuous improvement across process, tools, and governance; role-model professional development for self and team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required (Supply chain, Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing or related field is preferred)
At least 6 years of strategic sourcing or a strong focus on Marketing and indirect services.
Skilled in managing complex categories and suppliers.
Ability to build and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
Clear, persuasive communicator with executive presence.
Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel.
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Leadership experience.
Familiarity with procurement tools (e.g., Oracle, Coupa, Ironclad) and risk assessment platform.
