Reimagining the infrastructure of cancer care.
The Role
The Senior Solutions Manager will oversee client solutions in cancer care, managing multiple projects, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver real-world evidence solutions.
Summary Generated by Built In
Reimagine the infrastructure of cancer care within a technology and science community that values integrity, inspires growth, and is uniquely positioned to create a more modern, connected oncology ecosystem. We're looking for a Senior Solutions Manager to help us accomplish our mission to improve lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?
What You'll Do
Flatiron's real world evidence (RWE) solutions are helping life science companies accelerate oncology R&D, design clinical trials, attain regulatory approvals and much more. The Senior Client Solutions Manager (CSM) plays an instrumental role in designing and delivering fit for use data and services that serve our customers needs, configuring and executing on the solution, and ensuring customers derive maximum value from it. As an Account Lead you will own and oversee a portfolio of work for a particular client (or group of clients). You will support a cross-functional client-facing team aimed at identifying and delivering high-impact RWE solutions across the drug development lifecycle. You will engage with clients and internal teams throughout to ensure successful scope identification, solutions design, execution, delivery and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, highly analytical, comfortable with ambiguity and brings a track record of removing both technical and logistical roadblocks to meet customer needs. In addition, you'll also:
  • Lead and oversee scoping and execution of a portfolio of solutions (e.g. real-world data deliverables and/or analytic services) in parallel. As the account owner, prioritize tasks across projects and teams based on comprehensive judgment of trade-offs
  • Design fit-for-purpose RWE solutions for our customers, which includes understanding and breaking down use cases, defining patient cohort selection criteria, designing specific data models, aligning on analytic approaches and setting the right quality bar for the cross-functional team to execute against.
  • Lead or support meetings and engagements with customers (e.g., Life Sciences companies) and communicate progress and decisions clearly and regularly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Flatiron Life Science Partnerships and Research Sciences teams and Flatiron customers to ensure a clear understanding of the customer need and any additional considerations (e.g. budget, timeline, expertise, etc) that might affect the solutions you come up with.
  • Manage and grow junior solutions and project managers to support your customers scoping and execution needs.
  • Interface with and lead problem-solving discussions with internal stakeholders (e.g., Life Sciences Partnerships, Research Oncology, Clinical Data Abstraction, Product, Engineering, and Quantitative Sciences) to ensure that all necessary inputs are considered and the team makes sound decisions
  • Create and standardize processes so that each project is easier, faster and/or of higher quality than the last one

You'll be our key liaison between our Life Sciences Partnerships, Research Sciences, Research Oncology, Clinical Data Abstraction, Product, and Engineering teams to drive projects while scaling Flatiron's long-term research offerings.
Who You Are
You are skilled at creative problem solving, analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication (both oral and written) and excited about learning and becoming an expert of the Flatiron ecosystem. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems. You effectively lead cross-functional teams and value the chance to make an important impact.
  • At least 8+ years work experience in a client-facing role in a highly structured or scientific environment (i.e., consulting, RWD/RWE, the pharmaceutical industries)
  • Comfort translating complex and ambiguous client needs into custom solutions in partnership with client and internal stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with a demonstrated bias for action and ability to drive decision-making
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects at once in a highly organized and results oriented manner
  • Ability to navigate and lead project teams within a rapidly evolving business with multiple stakeholder and dependencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Extra Credit
  • Experience with real world data
  • Experience managing, mentoring and growing high performers

Where you'll work
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days set by you and your team. For more information on our approach to hybrid work, please visit the how we work website.
