Solutions Engineers (SEs) at Okta play a pivotal role in the customer journey, helping organizations solve complex identity challenges. We engage with customers at every stage, combining our technical curiosity with business insight to drive meaningful conversations. We’re looking for team players who can create impactful sales presentations, build compelling product demonstrations, and educate a wide audience on modern cloud security solutions.

What You’ll be doing:- Support customers throughout the sales journey (discovery, validation, proposal, due diligence), demonstrating the value of the Okta Platform through live demos and presentations.
- Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the customer's organization, including CxO, security, developers, Product Managers, and IT administrators.
- Bridge the gap between business and technology for diverse audiences, from security engineers and developers to CISOs and CIOs.
- Partner with the sales team as the go-to technical counterpart, enabling customers to validate the value and potential of the Okta platform.
- Focus on our Okta Workforce Identity solutions, confidently addressing product features and in-depth technical inquiries from customers.
- Design and execute well-defined, outcome-driven Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Develop a growing understanding of the Okta product line and the underlying technologies and protocols.
- Stay curious, and continuously grow your knowledge in Identity, Security, and more.
- Occasionally, participate in local and regional events, representing Okta as both a speaker and an attendee.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide direct customer feedback and influence product roadmaps.
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience or a similar customer-facing technical role (e.g., consulting, professional services).
- A strong passion for serving the customer and our partners, ensuring their success.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences - even on the fly on a whiteboard.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot integration and identity federation issues
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Interest in Identity and Access Management, cloud technologies, and security concepts.
- Some familiarity with Okta Single Sign-on, Multi-factor Authentication, Passwordless authentication, Universal Directory, Privileged Access, Device Access (or similar) is preferred
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn technical topics on the job.
- Experience or knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, HRIS, SaaS applications).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and modern security concepts.
- Fluency in Polish and English is required.
- Experience working with customers in any capacity (sales, consulting, support, project management, university projects involving stakeholders).
- Understanding of identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OIDC, OAuth, FIDO, SCIM, LDAP).
- Understanding of identity-related cybersecurity topics (e.g., phishing, MFA bypass attacks, privilege escalation).
- Experience with REST APIs, Postman, or scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with AI tools and a basic understanding of how they work.
- Fluency in an additional European language (Dutch, French, or German preferred).

Skills Required
- Experience working in presales, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Presales Consultant
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly, including whiteboard presentations
- Knowledge of at least one network security protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP
- Knowledge of identity governance and administration, including lifecycle management, access reviews, RBAC, and policy enforcement
- Knowledge of privileged access management, including least privilege, JIT access, session monitoring, and credential vaulting
- Understanding of application security concerns, including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF
- Understanding of sales methodologies and best practices, including MEDDPICCC
- Experience working with large enterprise or strategic-sector customers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate business value
- Ability to share knowledge with highly skilled and experienced audiences
- Willingness to travel and meet customers
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
