We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join the CBU Solutions Engineering team. In this role, you will help drive business development and sales growth by leading discovery, tailored demonstrations, technical solution design, proof-of-value and proof-of-concept motions, and competitive positioning across prospective customers.
This role is ideal for someone who is already operating independently in a customer-facing pre-sales environment, is technically credible with enterprise software and integrations, and can translate customer pain into clear solution approaches and business value.
Your Mission- Lead customer-facing discovery conversations to understand business priorities, technical requirements, and key success criteria.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and solution storytelling aligned to customer needs and use cases.
- Guide technical stakeholders through integrations, workflows, architecture discussions, and solution design decisions.
- Design and run proof-of-concepts, evaluations, and technical validation activities that support successful deal outcomes.
- Partner closely with Account Executives on opportunity strategy, objection handling, competitive positioning, and account planning.
- Support proposals, RFPs, and customer information requests with clear, relevant technical and business input.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, partner, and specialist teams to stay current on product capabilities and future direction.
- Identify opportunities to improve team methods, assets, and technical sales motions over time.
- A strong customer-facing communicator who can engage both business and technical stakeholders with confidence.
- Technically credible in SaaS platforms, integrations, APIs, workflows, and enterprise application patterns.
- Commercially minded and able to connect technical capabilities to customer outcomes and business value.
- Comfortable operating independently while bringing in the right internal expertise when needed.
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn new domains, products, and customer environments quickly.
- Interested in building trust with customers by combining strong discovery, clear communication, and practical solution design.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or similar pre-sales roles in SaaS.
- Strong experience running discovery, tailored demos, and customer evaluations.
- Experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the sales cycle.
- Solid technical fluency in APIs, integrations, authentication, workflows, SaaS architecture, and enterprise systems.
- Experience designing proof-of-concepts, technical validation plans, or solution approaches for customer opportunities.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing, and partner teams.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience in privacy, governance, compliance, security, or adjacent enterprise software domains.
- Experience with workflow automation, AI-assisted solutioning, or process improvement.
- Experience articulating business value, success criteria, and practical next steps in customer conversations.
- Familiarity with responding to RFPs, technical questionnaires, and enterprise buying processes.
