We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join our growing Solutions team at Storyblok, with a focus on our largest and most complex Enterprise accounts. You will act as the lead technical advisor and solution architect for strategic engagements, partnering closely with sales, product, partner, and customer success teams to design and deliver solutions for organizations with sophisticated technical requirements, multi-brand or multi-region architectures, and complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that combines deep technical expertise, executive presence, and strategic account leadership, and includes mentoring junior members of the Solutions Engineering team.
- Own the technical strategy for a portfolio of large, complex, and/or strategic Enterprise accounts, partnering with senior Account Executives to shape deal strategy and win plans.
- Lead executive- and C-suite-level conversations, translating complex technical architecture into clear business value and ROI.
- Architect and present enterprise-grade solutions, including multi-site/multi-brand implementations, complex integrations, headless/composable architectures, and large-scale content migrations.
- Design and deliver advanced proof-of-concept solutions, technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and custom demo environments for high-stakes evaluations and competitive deals.
- Lead responses to enterprise RFPs/RFIs, security questionnaires, and procurement or compliance reviews (e.g. SOC 2, GDPR, data residency).
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for strategic accounts throughout the sales cycle and into onboarding and handoff to Customer Success.
- Serve as a mentor and technical resource for other Solutions Engineers, coaching on complex deals, technical objection handling, and best practices.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to represent enterprise customer requirements, influence roadmap priorities, and pilot new capabilities with strategic accounts.
- Build and maintain reusable enterprise assets, including reference architectures, technical playbooks, and demo environments.
- Represent Storyblok as a thought leader at industry events, executive briefings, and customer advisory forums.
- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a similar pre-sales technical role at a B2B SaaS company, with a track record supporting enterprise or strategic accounts.
- Past hands-on experience as a web developer or software engineer, with the ability to build custom demos and proof-of-concepts (JavaScript, APIs, modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Next.js).
- Deep familiarity with enterprise software ecosystems, complex integration patterns (SSO/SAML, headless/composable architecture, DAM, PIM, CDNs), and enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including engagement with C-level/executive buyers, security teams, and procurement.
- Experience with monolithic/traditional CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, Adobe AEM) and migration strategies from these platforms.
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead in high-pressure, high-visibility situations.
- Experience mentoring or informally leading other technical pre-sales professionals is a strong plus.
- Strong command of English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Sales methodology fluency — trained in and able to coach modern technical selling frameworks such as Demo2Win, Challenger Sale, or MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, embedding structured discovery and value-based demo techniques into the team's approach
