POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Senior Solution Architect will join our Solution Engineering and Strategy team within Moss's Energy division. This team drives process standardization, develops end-to-end solution architecture, and defines the target-state technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.

Focusing on Oracle Fusion Projects, this role serves as the solution owner and strategic architect for Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM), including Project Financial Management (PFM) and Project Execution Management (PEM), which support project execution across the Energy business. The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for defining the future-state architecture, ensuring alignment across project management, scheduling, finance, supply chain, estimating, and project controls functions, and enabling scalable, integrated business processes across the Oracle ecosystem.

Partnering closely with stakeholders across Project Controls, Operations, Preconstruction, Supply Chain, and Finance, this individual translates business objectives into enterprise solutions and provides architectural leadership to functional, technical, and system integration teams. The role is accountable for solution integrity, cross-functional process alignment, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the project lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oracle Fusion PPM – Project Financial Management (PFM):

  • Lead the solution design, roadmap, and vision for Oracle Fusion PPM, acting as the primary design authority for PFM and PEM.
  • Design the project foundation for Energy EPC projects: project types and templates, organizations, work breakdown structures, resource breakdown structures, expenditure types, and classifications.
  • Design project costing, budgeting and forecasting, project contracts, billing, and revenue recognition, with integration to General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, and Fixed Assets.
  • Design cost control processes, including budget versus actuals, commitments, estimate at completion, change management, and earned value reporting.

Oracle Fusion PPM – Project Execution Management (PEM):

  • Design project execution processes, including project plans, task management, progress capture, and project resource management (resource requests and assignments).
  • Define how work plans and progress in PEM relate to the detailed schedule in OPC, and which system owns each data element.

Scheduling, Finance & Cost Controls Integration:

  • Design the integration between Oracle Fusion PPM and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) for WBS, activities, resources, progress, and actuals, so schedule, cost, and progress stay in sync.
  • Partner with the Finance architecture team to align project accounting with the General Ledger, chart of accounts, and Oracle EPM (EPBCS planning and ARCS reconciliation).
  • Design the project controls reporting that brings schedule, cost, and forecast data together for project and portfolio reviews.

Enterprise Integrations & Planning:

  • Design and oversee integrations between Oracle Fusion PPM and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), InEight, Oracle Fusion SCM, Oracle Fusion CX, Oracle EPM, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Design the estimate-to-budget, pursuit-to-project, and project-to-supply-chain workflows to ensure seamless data flow across the project lifecycle.
  • Support resource, material, equipment, and asset planning processes that drive aggregate supply planning and S&OP activities.
  • Partner with Finance and Project Controls teams to align project accounting, forecasting, scheduling, and portfolio reporting requirements.
  • Own the project master data design (projects, customers, suppliers, items, assets, and employee data sourced from Workday) to keep one source of truth across the Oracle ecosystem.

Stakeholder Leadership & Delivery:

  • Lead design workshops and advise stakeholders on solution options, architecture decisions, trade-offs, and roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Process Owners, and system integrator partners to align process, solution, and data requirements.
  • Guide functional and technical delivery teams, ensuring solution quality, architectural alignment, and adherence to best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into Oracle Fusion solutions and maintain supporting functional and technical documentation.
  • Lead testing, implementation, cutover planning, site readiness, pilot execution, and go-live support for new and enhanced capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Functional Solution Architect in Oracle Fusion Cloud, with lead design responsibility for Oracle Fusion PPM (PFM and PEM).
  • 5–7 years of hands-on implementation and configuration experience with Oracle Fusion PPM, including Project Costing, Budgetary Control, Budgeting and Forecasting, Contracts and Billing, and Project Management.
  • Served as solution architect on multiple (2–5) full-lifecycle implementations.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets) and how project accounting flows into them.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, cost management, project controls, scheduling, and reporting in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience designing integrations between Oracle Cloud and other applications, preferably with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Hands-on experience configuring workflows, dashboards, reports, and integrations.
  • Experience leading design workshops and guiding onshore and offshore delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication, executive stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) or P6, including integrating scheduling with PPM, Finance, and cost controls.
  • Experience integrating InEight Estimate (or a comparable estimating platform) with Oracle Fusion PPM.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion SCM (procurement, inventory, and project-driven supply chain) and with resource, material, and asset planning.
