We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and credible Senior Security Sales Specialist for our Chemicals & Energy Enterprise customers with a strong track record of developing and winning sales opportunities that deliver significant customer value and accelerate digital transformation.
In this role, you will manage senior-level business relationships, understand customer challenges and priorities, identify security opportunities, build compelling solutions and business cases, and close strategic sales opportunities. You will bring deep industry and security knowledge, strong technical acumen, and the ability to lead virtual teams across Microsoft and the partner ecosystem.
You will spend your time on customer-facing sales conversations, internal collaboration and sales management, and continuous learning and development.
In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and other senior business and technology leaders, helping them address complex security challenges and achieve their transformation goals.
- Lead strategic customer engagements across the Microsoft Security portfolio, positioning security as a driver of business resilience, innovation, and growth.
- Develop, manage, and close a healthy pipeline of opportunities, driving revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and expansion within existing accounts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by translating customer security, compliance, and risk requirements into business-focused solutions and long-term strategies.
- Lead virtual teams of sales, technical, partner, and internal resources to deliver successful customer outcomes and accelerate deal execution.
- Align Microsoft Security solutions to customer priorities, including cloud modernization, data protection, regulatory compliance, security operations, and AI transformation.
- Build executive-level relationships and influence decision-making across customer organizations.
- Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and market developments to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership.
- Collaborate closely with partners and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and maximize customer success.
- Drive customer adoption and value realization through ongoing engagement, ensuring customers achieve measurable outcomes from their Microsoft investments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in solution sales or pre-sales experience in cloud technologies, with a focus on cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and risk.
- Domain experience with Microsoft Security and/or Compliance products, as well as a strong understanding of the security market and competitive landscape.
- Demonstrated experience selling complex, cloud-based solutions to enterprise customers, with proven sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong technical passion and solid understanding of cloud security technologies, including threat protection, endpoint security, email security, incident response, cyber kill chain, Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform, Security Information and Event Management, multi-cloud security, identity and access management, and agentic security.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technical decision-makers.
- Experience working with or against competitive security vendors and solutions
- Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in English and German (C1 or above)
Solution Area Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Germany is € 109,700.00 - € 157,400.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
