Summary
Working closely with software and hardware development teams, the Project Solution Architect ensures solution architectures support Airport & Airline Operations (AAO) business objectives and align with enterprise architecture and technology strategy. The role contributes to the development, deployment, and integration of AAO self‑service solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to anticipate dependencies and improve existing systems. Reporting to the Group Architect, the position provides technical and functional recommendations while maintaining a strong technology watch to stay aligned with industry evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Solution Architect for self‑service projects with high‑profile European airport customers, participating in client meetings and producing customer‑facing documentation;
- Design, set up, and maintain secure cloud and on‑premise infrastructure (AWS networking, WAFs, IAM, security groups) and security monitoring, alerts, and automation;
- Implement and enhance security tooling, including automated alerting and integration with third‑party tools;
- Maintain company security policies, coordinate penetration testing for systems handling sensitive data, and protect public attack surfaces from emerging threats;
- Promote security awareness, automate manual operational tasks, and support tenders and compliance questionnaires;
- Work with Amadeus CISO and BISO teams to deliver customer projects in line with Amadeus security policies;
- Respond to client security requests, including non‑standard situations, applying understanding of key business drivers;
- Support tenders through security‑related questionnaires and assessments;
- Ensure security deliverables meet Amadeus quality standards and apply required procedures and methodologies;
- Share knowledge and upskill ICM staff on security topics;
- Work collaboratively to achieve team goals and build effective relationships beyond the immediate team;
- Solve complex problems, operate independently within area of expertise, and continuously develop technical and security capabilities.
About the ideal candidate:
- Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end technical solutions in regulated, multi‑stakeholder environments (airports or similarly complex sectors such as transport, banking, healthcare, or telco);
- 8+ years in IT/Engineering as a Senior Engineer, Solution Architect, DevOps or DevSecOps, comfortable working in global, matrixed organizations;
- Experience leading multi‑site rollouts, hardware and software deployments, networked edge devices, and cutover planning in 24/7 operational environments;
- Strong background in cloud and hybrid infrastructure, secure network design, IAM, firewalls, TLS/certificates, device hardening, OS lockdown, and vulnerability management;
- Hands‑on experience with automation, logging, monitoring, alerting, penetration‑test remediation, data sovereignty, and PCI‑DSS awareness;
- Solid understanding of full‑stack DevOps, scripting (Python, shell), CI/CD pipelines, Git, Agile ways of working, and collaboration with software development teams;
- Experience with AWS, Elastic, logging platforms, and modern observability tools;
- Strong communication skills, able to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders;
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
