As a Senior Software Engineer at Snyk, building our Snyk API and Web Product, you won’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of developer-first security. You will play a pivotal role in our Frontend team, tasked with building consistent, high-quality, and scalable user interfaces. What You’ll Do:
• Architect Scalable Frontend Solutions: Design and build reusable UI components and platform utilities that enable product teams to deliver features faster and more consistently.
• Drive Performance & Scalability: Implement strategies for handling large datasets, ensuring optimal rendering performance for our users.
• Enhance Developer Experience: Create ergonomic APIs, custom hooks, and comprehensive documentation to make platform tools easy for other engineers to discover, use, and update.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with backend teams to define API contracts that support complex UI needs and work with designers to translate mockups into robust, accessible components.
• Elevate Code Quality & Security: Lead the charge on frontend security and enforce rigorous testing strategies
• Mentor & Lead: Guide other engineers through complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of "One Team"
What You Bring:
• Deep Expertise in JavaScript/ TypeScript: You possess a deep understanding / or have mastery of the language’s internal mechanics and architectural patterns, allowing you to craft solutions that are performant, robust, and maintainable.
• Advanced React Proficiency: You have extensive experience with the React ecosystem and are up-to-date with modern features
• System Design Thinking: You can deconstruct ambiguous requirements into concrete technical designs, weighing trade-offs between different approaches
• Architectural Experience: You have a track record of building complex SPAs, managing application state (persistence, authentication flow), and optimizing bundle sizes.
• Strong Communication: You are an active listener who asks insightful clarifying questions, validates assumptions, and incorporates feedback collaboratively.
